Installing Windows 10 Operating system in VirtualBox

Here we are describing how to install Windows 10 operating system in Oracle VirtualBox. Oracle VirtualBox is a free and opensource virtualization software. We can extend our computer to run multiple operating systems. By using Oracle virtual box we can install any operating systems by creating virtual machines.

Now we can start installing windows 10 in virtual box. Before starting we need to download Oracle VirtualBox and Windows 10 ISO file. Make sure to use genuine Windows 10.

Download Oracle VirtualBox

Download Microsoft Windows 10

After downloading the Oracle VirtualBox, install it in your machine.

Step 1 : Open Oracle VirtualBox

Step 2 : In Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager click on the New option

Step 3 : Enter the virtual machine name, select the folder to save the virtual machine, Operating System type and version. Then click next.

Step 4 : Select the Memory size that you want. And click next

Step 5 : Select Create a virtual hard disk now option in Hard disk. And click Create

Step 6 : Select VDI (Virtual Disk Image) option in hard disk file type. And click next

Step 7 : Select Dynamically allocated option in storage on physical hard disk. And click next

Step 8 : Enter File location and it's size. And click create

Step 9 : In Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager select the Virtual Machine created. Here it is VM_Win 10

Step 10 : In Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager click on Settings

Step 11 : Click on Storage option

Step 12 : Under Storage devices, there will list our Virtual Machine. Click the Empty option under our virtual machine. In attributes section click on the image of a disk for selecting the ISO file.
